Popular Post ChrisG
This press release was sent out this morning. No info up on their site yet, but there is more info here: http://www.axpona.com/exhibitors_detail.asp?ID=22155 AXPONA 2018 announcement from SOtM For purchasing and further information, please contact: May Park, [email protected] www.sotm-audio.com SOtM’s first network switch will be unveiled! The sNH-10G is a SOtM’s first network switch for every network audio system. It has 8 LAN port and 2 SFP port, the sCLK-EX and the 10MHz master clock connector can be added optionally. It will be revealed for the first time in the world at AXPONA 2018. Please come and experience its remarkable performance at Room 554. We will be having a demonstration for our first master clock, sCLK-OCX10, two separate times each day. Attendees will be able to see the direct comparison of sound with the sCLK-OCX10 versus sound without the sCLK-OCX10 during the demonstration. The audience will simply hear the higher level of sound offered by sCLK-OCX10. A Q&A session after the demonstration will be made, so if you are interested in SOtM system and the digital audio world, please visit and enjoy time with us. All SOtM products would be used and demoed with Magico S1 Mk II. SOtM’s all products including the forthcoming products certainly tell what the real value of audio products should be. SOtM will become the most important partner in your music life. www.sotm-audio.com mozes and BigAlMc 1 1 ChrisG Bend, OR Link to comment
BigAlMc
Thanks for sharing Chris. Interesting stuff! Synergistic Research Powercell UEF SE > Sonore OpticalModule (LPS-1.2 & DXP-1A5DSC) > EtherRegen (SR4T & DXP-1A5DSC) > (Sablon 2020 LAN) Innuos PhoenixNet > Muon Streaming System > Grimm MU1 > (Sablon 2020 AES) > Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC > PS Audio M1200 monoblocks > Focal Sopra No2 speakers Link to comment
BigAlMc
Between the SOtM switch and the UpTone Audio one in the works its interesting times for switches. I currently have the Aqvox SE switch. But I'm more than happy for SOtM or UpTone to give me a dilemma by raising the bar further. Synergistic Research Powercell UEF SE > Sonore OpticalModule (LPS-1.2 & DXP-1A5DSC) > EtherRegen (SR4T & DXP-1A5DSC) > (Sablon 2020 LAN) Innuos PhoenixNet > Muon Streaming System > Grimm MU1 > (Sablon 2020 AES) > Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC > PS Audio M1200 monoblocks > Focal Sopra No2 speakers Link to comment
Boomboy
thnx for sharing . looks like a few more products to be released from that link . would like to see some video footage from this event if anyone from here is attending . bit far for me . Link to comment
firedog
I'm predicting the SOtM switch will be much higher priced. MNG 1 Main listening (small home office): Main setup: Surge protectors +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Protection>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three BXT (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments. Secondary Path: Server with Audiolense RC>RPi4 or analog>Cayin iDAC6 MKII (tube mode) (XLR)>Kii Three BXT Bedroom: SBTouch to Edifer M1380 system. Living Room/Kitchen: Ropieee (RPi3b+ with touchscreen) + Schiit Modi3E to a pair of Morel Hogtalare. All absolute statements about audio are false Link to comment

Theres a thread over on the General forum discussing some CAers attending. So hopefully they'll report back. Bit far for me too as I'm in the UK but I am considering Munich High End or a trip across the pond to RMAF one of these years. Won't be this year though due to other commitments. Hey Firedog, Yup, based on previous form I'd say that's a safe bet! Interesting times tho and good to have some competition in this space. BigAlMc
@The Computer Audiophile and @austinpop Chris / Rajiv - didn't want to derail your meet up thread (other than perhaps out of envy since its a bit too far for me to attend ) but would be great to get your impressions on the new SOtM switch and the sCLK-OCX10 clock. tedwoods
The switch looks smashing! (and expensive...) I wonder if the upcoming product from Uptone, which is 10/100, can work with the gigabit SOtM endpoints? Link to comment

So, yes. https://audiophilestyle.com/profile/21384-solstice380/?tab=field_core_pfield_3 Link to comment

ChrisG
I received an email from May that the switch will probably only be on display as a mock-up. BTW, the webpage is up for it now, but not a whole lot of info http://www.sotm-audio.com/sotmwp/english/portfolio-item/snh-10g/ ChrisG Bend, OR Link to comment

juniorbudel
I ordered the sNH-10G at the local distributor, priced at about 750 USD, expected to arrive in late August. I am very hopeful with the positive results of this switch in setup. Link to comment

Although I'm an UPtone/Sonore person, - I may be tempted because of the SFP modules and the fact that it's gigabit. I am not sure if I want to bail on fiber because of its galvanic isolation. ChrisG
They're taking pre-orders here https://cruxaudio.com/products/snh-10g $800 for the base model, jumps to $1500 when you add the SCLK-EX. Maybe it's just me, but sure seems steep for a switch - better sound amazing! ChrisG Bend, OR Link to comment
rickca
My first question is whether the optional sCLK-EX board has to be in the sNH-10G itself or whether you can install the SOtM clock connect PCB in the sNH-10G and use available clock points from an sCLK-EX board in another component. @MayfromSOtM ? This is how the $300 SOtM switch mod was done. I assume you also want a good LPS for this thing. Anyone know the DC input specs? Hi rickca, if I understand your question correctly, the optional sCLK-EX installation for sNH-10G means the sCLK-EX board will be installed into the sNH-10G. Thank you.
