  1. Studio Player will have its North American Debut in September. Please join us for listening sessions and Q&A with Chris Connaker.
  2. yes - Studio Player will be shown at CAF this fall!
  3. Thanks for your kind words. I am also glad to still be among the living! Brandon
  4. Hi Joe - thanks for the feedback. The system you heard at Axpona was our Atlantis Reference system, built to our Level 4 designation (DAC, Server, Server PSU, upgraded DC cables). We are just releasing a new product called Studio Player which is the first in an all-new series of products - at prices the finance committee may find much more agreeable.
  5. Hi Chris - I'll try to provide a brief history of my journey in audio :) Prior to becoming a part of the high end community, I had ambitions to be a musician. I studied music performance and I play the cello. After finishing college I started working in retail for a small mid fi company, where I was introduced to some better equipment and the world of hifi; this was in the mid 90's when home theater was also becoming quite popular (this was a few years before DVDs were introduced, so we were still playing laserdiscs for movies). After four years, I started working for a much higher profile shop that had a focus in real high end equipment; it was here I met some of the most influential people in my career. After 14 years in retail, in 2010 I started working for Audio Research. I started as Manager of International Sales and then migrated into marketing. Six years later, I joined Shunyata Research and focused on international sales and marketing for them. 2020 brought me back to Audio Research when it purchased by a private individual. I was there until 2022 when I had a major accident that kept me out of work for six months. In 2023, determined to go to Munich despite significant physical challenges, I went and worked for a second year in a row with WADAX - it was then I spoke with founder and CEO Javier Guadalajara and I joined the company that year in July. My focus has always been finding as much truth and realism in music reproduction and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. I have had the great fortune to work with some of the most talented people in our industry who have selflessly given me a wealth of knowledge. System setup is one of my specialties, as is creating system synergies. I love to provide new experiences for music listeners, and really enjoy doing fun and entertaining demos at events and shows. If you see me out doing demos, please come and say hi!
  6. Hello! My name is Brandon Lauer, and I am the Director of Sales and Marketing for WADAX. WADAX is a company based in Madrid, Spain, where all of our products are engineered and manufactured. I am located in the central United States. We are excited to be a part of the Audiophile Style forums and look forward to interacting with you. I will do my best to answer questions in a timely fashion; that said, more technical questions may require an answer from Spain, so please allow a little time if you don't hear back from me immediately.
  7. Studio Player offers the following playback methods: CD/SACD, Streaming via Connect technology (currently available with Spotify and Tidal; Qobuz releasing their version in the fall, and we will add other services in the near future), and UPnP/DLNA. We have submitted Studio Player for approval from Roon as an endpoint, and we are only waiting for the certification from them. We are also looking at other third party interface apps. As these feature sets are added to Studio, the Player will automatically update to include them (as long as it has an ethernet connection).
