@vortecjr, regarding the CIAUDIO VDC•7 MKII Linear Power Supply you mentioned a few pages ago, what specific cord to connect to the Orendu Deluxe and where to purchase?

Channel Islands Audio has ceased business operations.
Their LPS model you mentioned has an output jack size of 5.5mm x 2.1mm—same as the input of all Sonore Rendu models.  So you just need a cable with that plug size at both ends.

Star-quad wire topology is recommended for its inductance lowering benefits.

Ghent Audio in China offers a wide range of well constructed DC cables, several made with good quality star-quad wire.

And his prices are extremely reasonable: https://www.ghentaudio.com/products/dc-j01?VariantsId=11189,11212,11234

Thanks very much SuperDad.  Do you or anyone know if CIAUDIO VDC•7 MKII Linear Power Supply is still available new anywhere?  The Sonore link posted still shows them as available to order.

The link that Jesus posted was to the CIAUDIO LPS on Sonore's Shopify store site--where Sonore offers a number of select 3rd-party products. Perhaps they have a few left in stock.

Would an Uptone UltraCap 1.2 do the trick?

Well not only has the UpTone UltraCap LPS-1.2 been out of production for about 2.5 years, its 1.15A max. output current was never quite enough for the boot-up draw of the opticalRendu (but plenty for ultraRendu and microRendu).

If you are looking for a fine very low-output-impedance power supply (low output impedance actually matters more to these digital devices than ultra-low-noise as the various local internal linear regulators in Rendus, etc. get rid of most noise), the best price/perfomance value I know of for a small single output supply is the MiniTeddy from Teddy Pardo in Israel for just $385 (https://teddypardo.com/product/miniteddy7v-2a/?attribute_pa_cable-type=55-21). A reliable discrete regulator design that beats the pants off of of the various Chinese units--you see all over AliExpress and eBay--which have a big hump in their output impedance at low frequency.

Sonore also offers their own fine 7V/1.5A supply ($795) based on Belleson super-regs and hand-built by my friend Barrows Worm in Colorado.

Sonore purchased all the 7VDC inventory of the CIAudio power supplies when they closed shop. The ones we sell are all new and a very good option.

That's cool!

I just now discovered that Dusty closed up shop at the end of 2021. I didn't realized it was so long ago. Then again, time flies... 9_9
